With many NHS Trusts recognising that improved cycle parking is critical, Cycle-Works claims to be ‘at the forefront’ in the field.
The company said: “In some situations, bicycle theft and crime are the biggest problems, and here our in-house designed Velo- Safe locker is proving very popular. For example, Portsmouth’s Queen Alexandra Hospital has steadily added more, and now has over 50, while The Royal London in Whitechapel has 35 of the lockers, and they are proving so popular that the Trust has recently ordered more. The Velo-Safe is equally ideal for electric and ‘pool’ systems.” Where ‘capacity is the issue’, Cycle-Works offers the ‘adaptable’ Josta 2-Tier rack, of which Hampstead’s Royal Free Hospital has used ‘over 50’. Cycle-Works UK manufactures most of its products, but is also the exclusive UK distributor for Germany’s Josta. It can also offer shelters, compounds, related storage, and a wide range of bicycle racks.
