A ‘high quality, low maintenance’ magnifier luminaire – the Optica 488 – that incorporates ‘the latest LEDs and innovative arm technology’, and ‘combines high efficiency with functional design to support highly demanding visual tasks’, has been launched by Brandon Medical.
“The Optica 488 light source has superior colour rendition and highlights colour differences of tissue during medical examinations,” Brandon explained. “The 3.5 dioptre magnification doubles the size of even the smallest detail, and, for tasks requiring extra precision, a digital dimming function enables users to adjust the light intensity to suit the procedure.” ‘Innovative balanced-arm technology’ allows ‘excellent manoeuvrability and precise positioning during examinations’; the slimline arm has ‘a long reach of 1m’. The magnifier can be wall, desk, or mobile trolley-mounted.
