Symphony, a ‘3-in-1’ self-closing door system developed by Safehinge in conjunction with two other door industry specialists for the mental health sector, is said to address ‘every key challenge’, with an anti-ligature and anti-barricade design, full fire safety, and resistance to healthcare-associated infection.
The company said: “As with our other products, Safehinge was developed after consultation with customers including NHS Trusts and architects. Dorma and Primera were then selected as partners due to their experience in door closing and anti-ligature hardware. With Safehinge’s design background and market-leading knowledge of hinge protection, the result is a fully integrated, no-compromise door set.” Safehinge director, Philip Ross, said: “We are proud to be part of the trio helping to answer the common issues in mental health with good design.”
