Platform-independent technology on show at HefmA

Static Systems Group (SSG) says it will show, on Stand 9 at this month’s HefmA 2013 event, the flexibility of its Fusion-IP healthcare communication system and Modus headwall solutions.

Using ‘platform independent’ technology, together with ‘a major breakthrough in real-time location (RTLS)’, Fusion-IP is offers innovative healthcare communication ‘apps’ which SSG says allow hospitals ‘to pick and choose the facilities that will best enhance individual ward practices, while improving patient care and quality of life’.

Recently introduced facilities such as ‘roaming patient call’, ‘patient fall monitoring’, ‘bed exit alert’, and ‘bed status monitoring’ will be on show, along with ‘staff attack’ and ‘nurse presence’ features, which Static Systems says ‘achieve unrivalled accuracy through the use of ultrasound’.
The company added: “These latest facilities are in addition to comprehensive patient-to-nurse call offered with two-way speech (SIP) to the patient bedside, and IP integration with the site’s Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).

Another key feature is the system’s ability to provide connectivity with the latest mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. Alarms, faults, and other events displayed on the system, are accessible from any device supporting a web browser.

The company’s expertise in hospital communications is complemented by Modus, a comprehensive range of trunking and headwall systems ‘available in innovative designs for contemporary hotel-styled bedrooms, as well as more traditional ward environments’.

At Hefma 2013, Static Systems will also show, for the first time, its 900evo fire alarm maintenance software – which is designed to simplify and speed up testing on multi-panel sites.
