Healthcare estates personnel responsible for the safe management of water systems can put their questions on all aspects of the revised ACoP (L8) document to experts at a one-day ‘Q&A’ event being held by new training company, Immerse Training, at the Best Western Plus Manor House Hotel, in Meriden, near Solihull, on 11 September.
Panel members will include (chair) Mike Hunter, also chair of the Water Management Society, John Newbold and Dr Paul McDermott, specialists in the control of occupational legionellosis, and independent consultants, David Harper, and Dr Suzanne Lee. Immerse Training said: “The event, designed for anybody with an interest in, or responsibility for, Legionella management, will provide an excellent opportunity to hear first-hand from the people who shaped the new Approved Code of Practice & Technical Guidance, and participate in an open question and answer forum.” Attendance costs £99, including VAT. Immerse Training, recently established by experts in the Legionella field, offers courses specifically designed ‘for those responsible for maintaining safe, healthy, and good quality, water systems’. Its City & Guildsaccredited courses are delivered in the purpose-built Clinical Training Unit at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital in North Wales.
