A radiant heating system that replaces radiators and skirting trim ‘in one convenient package’, developed in conjunction with the NHS, will be shown by DiscreteHeat.
The EasyClean LST was developed from the company’s successful ThermaSkirt radiant domestic skirting heating – as seen on the BBC’s ‘Dragons Den’, and incorporates new features including a bottom mounting rail that integrates smoothly into vinyl flooring, and a ‘high security’ top cover trim that seals the top edge to the wallcovering. This radiant heating system can be ‘simply mopped clean of infectious spores such as C. difficile and MRSA when the floor is cleaned’; ‘there are no covers to lift/remove, no special tools and equipment are needed, and no deep cleans and blocked gangways’. With a ‘natural anti-ligature design’, and offering ‘even, comfortable heat that feels like underfloor in operation, but is as controllable and responsive as a traditional radiator’, the system can be supplied in single-height configuration for bedrooms and living areas, and double-height for larger wards and ‘hard-to-heat’ spaces.
