Thorlux Lighting says customers can potentially reduce their energy costs by 75 per cent by using its luminaires and lighting control systems.
The British-owned lighting company, which has produced luminaires in the West Midlands for 77 years, will showcase examples from its ‘Healthcarespecific’ fittings range, including new products ‘designed explicitly’ for mental healthcare environments. The company claims to be ‘at the forefront of LED technology’, with ‘market-leading luminaire efficiencies’, enabling those organisations it supplies to achieve ‘maximum energy savings, with minimum ongoing maintenance’, and ‘a proven return on investment’. At Birmingham City Hospital, for example, it provided the design for, and oversaw the correct selection of, luminaires and controls to enable an 87% reduction in energy and associated carbon emissions.
