Recent innovations from Medical Air Technology (MAT), which provides clean air technology for the healthcare, manufacturing, and laboratory sectors, include its Screenless UCVS Freeflow ultra-clean ventilation system, ‘setting a new benchmark for the modern operating theatre’.
The company said: “High performance functionality and durability help overcome the evolving requirements of theatre design, which increasingly require more space at ceiling level to enable a more flexible choice of equipment.” MAT lay-up cabinets, another recent addition, are purpose built to provide ‘an extremely high level of cleanliness’. The self-contained cabinets require only a 13 amp power supply, and are ‘ideal’ for installation within existing conventional theatres, or lay-up preparation rooms requiring extra protection from airborne bacteria. Providing ‘a comprehensive range of solutions’, mainly for operating theatres, aseptic suites, and containment laboratories, MAT manufactures, supplies, designs, and installs. The company recently moved to a new facility at Trafford Park, Manchester.
