IHEEMs Medical Devices Advisory Group (MDAG), chaired by David Easton MSc CEng FIHEEM MIET, recently provided the MHRA with comments and raised issues to be considered for the update of the Device Bulletin ‘Managing Medical Devices 2006(5)’.
“Collectively we utilised our extensive NHS and Industry experience to suggest and highlight a number of improvements to the guidance provided in the Device Bulletin,” David Easton explained. “With advances in technology, the guidance needs to evolve and become relevant to best practices of the day.” MDAG will be hosting a seminar in the late spring of 2014, where potentially the Device Bulletin update will feature quite significantly. Plans are currently being formulated for this first seminar.
