Specialist contractor purchased

Derbyshire-based TT, which has 425 employees based in seven regional offices, specialises in the design and build of clean rooms, laboratories, controlled environments and process systems for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and healthcare markets. It provides packages or individual services such as the design and installation of mechanical and electrical services. Turnover in 2005 was £70 million.

A statement from the new owners said: “By acquiring Thermal Transfer, ETDE is in a position to extend its expertise in air-conditioning and M&E services, two high-growth segments, and to broaden its customer base to now cover the UK’s private sector.”
