ATB Secure will show its ‘unique’ Horizontal Slider and an Automated Opening Window – part of its Taurus Max range – designed specifically to meet mental health sector specifiers’ needs.
ATB says of the Taurus Max: “No other window offers such high security features, while allowing for premium air flow and light transmittance, and retaining performance and nonoppressive good looks.” Both aluminium windows comply with BSEN 12020-2-200, and can be specified in double glazed, (or triple glazed for the Automated Opener), or Hammerglass polycarbonate sheet versions. Fixed into both as part of the standard mental health specification is a security mesh available in two light transmittance options. Fixing the security options into the window extrusion at the time of production makes for ‘a robust window able to withstand even the harshest treatment’. The Sliding Window has an anti-ligature pull handle and offers several locking options. The opening pane has a lock-off facility which can be set at three different positions, and a full lock facility with ‘keyed alike’ euro profile cylinder.
