Rada makes sense for Aintree Trust

Rada, the ‘pioneer of digital washroom technology’, is supplying its Rada Sense clinical washroom controls to Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool.

Rada Sense Washbasin and Rada Sense Shower concealed digital mixing valves are being installed in a number of wards at the teaching hospital. Rada Sense combines ‘hygienic non-touch control’ of both ‘on/off’ and temperature, with programmable maximum, minimum, and default temperatures. Rada adds: “It allows for the highest standards of washroom hygiene, assisting in the control of Legionella, with key features including automatic ‘duty flushing’ and supervised thermal disinfection; the latter can be data-logged.” Christopher Dean, project manager at Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We have chosen Sense to assist with our domestic water system flow and return arrangement and flushing regime, which benefits the hospital by saving the resource of manually flushing each of the taps.”
