Parking enforcement represents ‘difficult territory’ for healthcare estates teams, according to Workflow Dynamics.
The company said: “Alongside the requirement to meet different stakeholders’ parking needs, while taking action against those infringing the rules, there is pressure on car parking space for clinical building development, and ‘green’ travel demands. The traditional view says that matching permit schemes to user needs is laborious, and that parking enforcement is a punitive tool that sits uncomfortably with the staff, patient, and visitor experience. Workflow Dynamics’ Active Parking Management approach challenges this, by harnessing processes that best match the client’s ethos, and delivering them via leading edge, web-enabled software and support services.” Online permit applications, automated permit rules validation, highly flexible permit configuration, enforcement using Android mobile devices, and ‘innovative use of workflow queues’ create ‘an efficient and cost-effective solution’. Services are on a cost per transaction basis, with Workflow Dynamics taking no share of ticket revenue.
