Stakrak has upgraded and extended its popular ColdRoom+ hygienic shelving system, which can be safely used in chillers, cold rooms, and walk-in freezers at temperatures down to –28°C.
Designed with an open wire, bolt-free construction, ColdRoom+ is ‘an extremely versatile modular shelving system offering an unrivalled strength-toweight ratio’. It is now available in 27 standard shelf sizes, each easily heightadjustable, to provide individual shelf loadings of 300 kg (Uniformly Distributed Load). Four standard post size options increase flexibility, while adding optional castors will create mobile bays. Stakrak says the system is widely used in hygienesensitive environments including hospitals, laboratories, and pharmaceutical production areas, where its anti-corrosive and antibacterial properties – achieved by applying a zinc substrate to the mild steel wire base, which is then coated with polyester powder resin, and hard baked to create a hard-wearing, corrosion-resistant finish – are ‘invaluable’.
