Enhancing job scheduling

Tesseract says that, ‘after 25 years’, its service management/facilities management software still ‘leads the field with both functionality and technology’, and, with over 250 installations in more than 25 countries, has become ‘truly international’.

The latest version is fully browser-based, ‘from end to end’, and can run ‘on any browser and any device’ – whether desktop, laptop, or tablet. The software is available either in ‘Software as a service’ (SaaS) form, with just a monthly fee and no hardware or software purchase, or via the ‘more traditional’ purchase model.

Tesseract has also enhanced its Remote Engineer Access (REA) module; this now runs on all phones, tablets, and laptops, and has online and offline capabilities. Working in conjunction with REA, a job optimisation module enables use of the Tesseract diary for scheduling jobs, while the Diary Assist feature optimises planning based on availability, cost, distance, and skillsets. A GPS tracking system can monitor where engineers are.
