MasterMover is keen to alert healthcare estates personnel to ‘the significant advantages’ its electric tugs can deliver within hospital environments.
The company said: “This technology’s materials handling aid benefits have been reinforced by a Health and Safety Executive endorsement suggesting that electric tug use could provide an ideal solution for porters, aiding them through the physical demands of their vital role. Attaching electric tugs to roll cages and trolleys is already a trusted technique within industries from retail to mining.”
MasterMover says its SmartMover electric tug makes tasks such as manoeuvring medical records, delivering food trolleys, and portering laundry and waste, ‘much simpler, safer, and more effective’, while its BedMover tug is designed for smooth, quiet transportation of patient beds. The latest BedMover works wirelessly, ‘making bed transportation a truly one-man task’.
Each SmartMover and BedMover has an operator safety system ‘for rapid stops and optimum flexibility’; tight corners, sharp turns, or uneven slopes, can be easily navigated. The Gas Bottle Mover tug, meanwhile, can transport 16 or 20 cylinders at a time.
