The Fire Protection Association (FPA) says it offers ‘a range of highly practical and vocationally relevant courses to suit those with a responsibility for fire safety in healthcare premises’.
The Association said: “Our ‘Introduction to Passive Fire Protection’ is a two-day course that introduces to the topic as a whole, and briefly looks at most of the aspects, from the legislation, to the individual areas such as compartmentation, fire stopping, fire doors etc. Leading on from the core module are more specialist modules covering technical aspects generically, so that practitioners are aware of what constitutes best practice. .
“Our ‘Fire Risk Assessment for Healthcare Premises’ is a new five-day course developed to focus specifically on issues associated with complex healthcare environments with reference to the relevant guidance documents.”
The ‘Introduction to Passive Fire Protection’ course will run from 27-28 April; 8-9 June; 10-11 August; 12-13 October, and 14-15 December, at the FPA’s facility in Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire.
‘Fire Risk Assessment for Healthcare Premises’ will run from 18-23 May and from 16-20 November at the FPA facility. The Association also offers bespoke training for organisations with specific needs and challenges.
