Eastwood Park has released its latest training calendar, with details of its specialist healthcare engineering and estates and facilities management courses for 2015-2016
The Gloucestershire training establishment says the introduction of a redesigned Foundation Degree in Medical Technologies will provide an opportunity for hospital engineers and healthcare estates teams to further their careers and skills through a two-year programme via any of three new pathways: medical equipment; hospital engineering, and healthcare estates and facilities management There is also an opportunity to progress to a BSc (Hons) degree with an optional third year.
Also being introduced is a course for technicians new to healthcare estates – ‘Essentials for engineers – new technical hospital staff (ENT)’. Other new courses this year will include a number delivered by Eastwood Park’s in-house medical gas trainer, Michael Ell, who has recently joined from BOC, and is adding the following to the medical gases portfolio:
- Competent person MGPS (HTM 02) first responder (EMGF).
- Nurse MGPS (HTM 02) (EMGN).
- Porter MGPS (HTM 02) (EMGO).
- Designated nursing officer MGPS (EMGD).
