Divisions – a movable wall specialist – has introduced ‘an innovative movable wall solution’ at the New South Glasgow Hospital Campus’s Teaching and Learning Facility.
The New South Glasgow Hospital Campus (the adult and children’s hospital buildings were handed over in late January) is Scotland’s largest ever single NHS hospital project and, once the migration of staff and commissioning are completed, will be run by over 10,000 staff. The Teaching and Learning Facility will be a key staff and student resource.
Divisions has worked with local supply and installation partner, Cord Contracts, to design, manufacture, and deliver a space solution which ‘transforms meeting and training spaces within minutes – from one large space into multiple smaller training / meeting rooms, or even 12 fully enclosed consultation suites with doors’.
The movable wall system, based on the Akurawall range, is lightweight and ceiling-hung, allowing rapid configuration. It is modulated to achieve a 50dB acoustic rating, and coated in ‘easy-clean’ white MFC to create light, sterile spaces.
