VINCI Park UK operates car parks at 12 NHS Trusts across England, Scotland and Wales, and aims to offer ‘bespoke solutions’ to each Trust.
The company said: “One of our key roles is to help hospitals manage capacity and balance budgets; ensuring that they are able to meet the needs of patients, visitors, and staff with a reliable parking supply, without infringing on core budgets or the environment. We also aim to provide innovatively designed car parks which encompass ‘green’ initiatives, such as photovoltaic solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.”
The parking specialist describes the car park it operates at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust’s Lister Hospital site in Stevenage as ‘a prime example of our environmental expertise in the health sector’. The car park sources 10% of its energy from renewable sources, has a ‘living’ green wall (pictured), recharging points for electric vehicles, a secure area for parking bicycles, and a fully andscaped plaza incorporating a sculpture made from an oak tree. The company said: “These are just a few of the typical ‘green’ elements we aim to incorporate across our NHS Trust car park sites.”
