This spring, Primera will be bringing the Life-Line concept to Solihull.
Designed for use in mental health and secure establishments, Life-Line is a ‘simple, strong, and effective’ key-operated lock. The company said: “It is unobtrusive, tested, and proven to be safe, and can be used across multiple applications. Now one robust and easy-to-operate key can unlock windows, viewing panels, slave-leaf locking systems, and safety rebates, plus doors fitted with LifeLine locksets.”
For doors, the Life-Line lock uses five spring-loaded locking pins to provide security. These seal off the keyway when the key is not in use, limiting the introduction of foreign bodies. To open the lock, all five pins must be depressed simultaneously – only possible with the unique Life-Line key. Life-Line locksets are available for bedrooms, en suites, and restricted or communal areas. The patent-pending mechanism can incorporate occupation indicators, automatic, or oneside-only locking options, and all locksets have a choice of anti-ligature handles.
Primera said: “Preventing obstruction of locks means staff can always gain access, and the principle of one key across multiple applications saves time, money, and hassle.”
