The BEAMA Water Safety & Hygiene group – representing manufacturers of commercial brassware products including thermostatic mixing valves, taps, and showers, and a wide range of water valves – will be exhibiting and speaking in the Water Management Society’s Infection Control Zone.
The group said: “We will be offering impartial advice and expert knowledge on these infection control and safety solutions, and how they fit within a safe, hygienic, and economic water system. This will cover scalding and infection risks, with emphasis on system design, and the link between the water system and you as healthcare staff. We can help with general guidance, or with concerns specific to your institution.”
Visitors will also be able to take away new training and guidance materials, which ‘explain the latest best practice on products and their installation, use, and maintenance’. The group added: “These also relate to current regulations and official guidance, helping healthcare providers see the full picture when conducting risk assessments for the design and use of their water system.”
