A new dedicated treatment centre at Liverpool’s Broadgreen Hospital which incorporates orthopaedic, urological, and general surgery facilities, associated wards, a day surgery unit, a cardiothoracic centre with enlarged operating department, additional catheter laboratories, a new critical care facility, an outpatient department, and wards, also incorporates a large number of ‘high specification care room’ facilities.
For these project architect, IBI Group, selected NymaCARE washroom products from Nymas – designed and manufactured specifically for high-use public environments, and, the supplier says, ‘ideally suited to hospitals’ en suite bathrooms.
“Key design considerations were longevity and the elimination of bacteria traps. Hence we selected stainless steel products with a flangeless design,” explained IBI Group.
Nymas will showcase in Manchester a range of products including the flangeless grab rails from its NymaCARE range, alongside its innovative new NymaGUARD technology, which features silver ions, applied to the product in the powder coating, to afford ant-bacterial protection.
