Limescale control ‘cost-effectively’ addressed

Healthcare facilities seeking ‘a scientifically and independently proven cost, energy, and water-saving solution to limescale control’ should visit the Sentinel Commercial stand at this year’s Healthcare Estates exhibition, the company says.

It added: “As an OEM-endorsed water treatment specialist, we offer KalGUARD, a widely specified, client-adopted limescale control system that uses Part Lrecommended electrolytic technology to treat incoming mains water without wasting water or requiring salt. By controlling limescale formation on heat transfer and internal pipework surfaces, system components, and sanitary fittings, KalGUARD helps maximise the longevity of system components and appliances; prevents premature repairs, replacements, and unplanned maintenance; optimises water flow and pressure, and increases energy efficiency. Limescale-free systems are also easier to treat for Legionella prevention.”

When installed on a rising main before water storage tanks and booster sets, a single KalGUARD kit can ‘permanently treat an entire system’. KalGUARD’s controller or additional pulse splitter can be linked to a building energy management system, ‘for easy monitoring’.

The company added: “Used instead of a traditional salt-based water softener, KalGUARD systems can offer a return-oninvestment of under 12 months, and savings are immediate.”
