Healthcare technology provider, Courtney Thorne, which has recently ‘completely revised’ its branding, and launched a new website as part of ‘an ambitious growth strategy’, has developed its first wireless nurse call system designed specifically for hospital environments.
Fully HTM 08-03-compliant, ALTRA will reportedly provide hospitals with cost savings of up to 40 per cent compared with an equivalent hard-wired system. Features include the ability to instantly generate accurate real-time reports to inform nurses and management teams about the frequency and source of calls, and provide ‘evidence’ of how quickly each was answered, and by whom.
National sales manager, John Polhill, said: “The new ALTRA range includes a wide range of accessories to enable us to custom-design an installation. The system offers excellent, reliable functionality. We have maximised the potential of our industry-leading wireless technology to ensure that it captures useful data for management analysis.”
A modular system that requires no wiring, ALTRA ‘offers excellent futureproofing’ thanks to its ease of reconfiguration. It uses ‘an ultra-reliable’ 869.2 MHz signal with CRC error checking call protection to eliminate interference.
Alongside a new room unit with emergency pull button, the range includes a self-re-setting ceiling pull cord, an overdoor light with new optics, and a cardiac unit used to alert emergency care teams.
