Ponte Giulio claims that when it comes to exceeding stringent hygiene standards, outperforming water and energy-saving requirements, and ensuring safety against vandalism, the iqua ultra series taps, available in the UK exclusively through the company, ‘have no rivals’.
The taps offer flow rates as low as two litres per minute. Ponte Giulio said: “This 70 per cent reduction in water consumption means less water needs to be heated for use, and therefore drastically reduces energy consumption.”
Nick Gontar, business development manager, said: “The iqua ultra taps meet any requirement in terms of size, function,
power supply etc., for any environment.” They feature hands-free sensor operation and ‘a clear, simple, and highly attractive design’. Use of bacteriostatic materials ensures ‘the highest possible hygiene standards for both handwashing and drinking water’. The model designed for the healthcare sector allows hygienic handwashing up to the elbows thanks to its high spout. iqua also incorporates a ‘hygiene mode’ featuring a count-down timer – to aid compliance with legal directives for handwashing times.
Solar technology provides a battery life of up to eight years, with power generated from both natural and artificial light. The taps can also generate electricity from an internal ‘water-driven turbine’, which generates the electricity required to heat the water to the desired temperature from the flowing water itself.
