Cable management manufacturer, Marshall-Tufflex, has announced a multimillion pound investment programme in tooling, plant, automation, and customer services, at its Hastings production facilities and headquarters.
A leading producer of cable trunking for healthcare installations, the company says the programme will deliver improvements in its ‘already high levels’ of customer service and product quality.
Marshall-Tufflex has taken delivery of a 3D printer (see photo), now an integral and important part of its product development process, and three injection moulding machines, to improve production flexibility and cut cycle times.
The company has recently been recognised by the BSI as a firm of Assessed Capability to BS EN ISO 50001:2011 and BS EN ISO 14001:2004.
It is now ‘gearing up’ for the introduction of BIM across government projects during 2016, and investing in IT infrastructure to improve ordering/delivery, and a new telephone system. It has also announced improvements in its Same Day Collection service for electrical distributors, which has been extended, with longer opening hours.
