A range of fabrics for use in hospitals which incorporate the BioCote anti-microbial surface treatment protection is now available from Mosaic Furnishings. These fabrics include cotton cubicle and window curtains, duvet covers, counterpanes and general upholstery.
The treatment uses silver rather than any chemical as the active anti-microbial ingredient. This is effective against a wide range of bacteria including E-Coli, Listeria, Legionella and Salmonella but will not add to the problem of resistant bacteria such asMRSA. It remains effective even after thermal disinfection processing and provides a positive element of any “due-diligence” procedures, backed up by good hygiene practices.
