With increasing recognition of waterborne infections and the importance of water safety plans, healthcare sanitaryware specialist, Armitage Shanks, and Pall Medical, a global provider of point-of-use (POU) sterilising water filters, have collaborated ‘to radically improve water quality and maintenance through achieving total compatibility between their healthcare products’.
Armitage Shanks, with its Markwik21 hospital taps, and Pall Medical, with its ‘clinically proven’ Pall-Aquasafe filters, have come together to fully test the compatibility of the combined product, with what they describe as ‘outstanding results’.
Independently, both the Markwik21 tap fittings and Pall-Aquasafe water filters are WRAS approved, while the filters are regulated as CE marked medical devices, and assembled under controlled and monitored cleanroom conditions compliant with ISO 14644-1 and ISO 14644-2.
Armitage Shanks said: “To evaluate these products’ combined performance, multiple tests have been conducted at an independent UK laboratory under clean water conditions, to evaluate flow variations, reaction times on rapid temperature changes, and spray profile changes under various pressure rates. The combined products deliver excellent value for money, as the compatibility between filter and tap guarantees they will work economically and seamlessly every time.”
