A popular commercial tap range has undergone ‘a major design and functionality overhaul’.
Pegler Yorkshire’s ‘Performa’ has seen amendments to its ‘classic design’, while the range has also been extended.
The range now includes a ‘new design’ Non-Concussive ‘high performance’ tap, which offers a flow rating of 3.8 litres/min, while the auto shut-off function gives 12 15 seconds of free-flowing water.
A re-designed inner cartridge provides a smoother operation and easier push mechanism, while a fully adjustable multi-directional filter provides a flow of water suitable for a range of applications.
The new Performa Sensor taps also benefit from the new sleek design, and offer improved performance via an integrated solenoid valve with filter. There are two versions – an Infrared version and a Capacitive version; the latter gives more controlled sensitivity. Pegler explained: “Capacitive technology is impervious to light, and is activated by the user being within a certain proximity of the tap; once out of proximity, the tap deactivates.”
The Performa Sensor taps have a maximum 30 seconds’ activation time to prevent vandalism, while a newly angled spout ‘eliminates any stagnant water within the tap system’.
