Paul Robbins, electro-medical services manager, technical support services, Papworth Hospital NHS Trust, was, at the Healthcare Estates Conference in Harrogate, presented with the Northcroft Silver Medal for his Health Estate Journal article "Managing risk in device engineering".
The article was first published in HEJ in June 2005, and republished in May 2006.
The Northcroft Silver Medal is awarded to the IHEEM member having written the Health Estate Journal article considered to have contributed most to the advancement of hospital engineering.
The award is made annually and all IHEEM members are encouraged to submit potentially award-winning articles for publication in HEJ.
