With April this year having seen come into force the Government’s stipulation that all centrally-procured public sector projects adhere to BIM at Level 2, commercial water control supplier, Bristan, has announced that its Specification division has joined the NBS National Building Information Modelling (BIM) Library.
Bristan has launched its first batch of 25 water control solutions on the RIBA NBS National BIM Library; a free-to-use, primary source of BIM content in the UK. The company said: “The library is the first port of call for construction professionals to locate, download, and use BIM objects in their project work.” Kate Money, marketing manager of Bristan’s Specification division, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer some of our leading commercial products through the RIBA NBS National BIM Library. Over recent years the construction industry has seen a discernible shift, as more designers have been investing in, and using, BIM technology and methodology to improve their own effectiveness. With the Government’s BIM target now in place, this demand will only increase, and we have therefore invested in a core range of our 25 most popular solutions to be ‘BIM-ready’; all cover most commercial applications, including healthcare.”
