Third Solent LIFT project

The £2.3 million Brune Medical Centre, which will be built by construction company Bluestone, represents a further commitment by Hampshire Primary Care Trust to the provision of primary care services for the people of Gosport. The facility is expected to be completed in October 2007.

It will house Dr Grocock and Partners and provide extended community services including dentistry, district nursing, health visiting and midwifery. Inger Hebden, director of capital planning, Hampshire PCT (South East) said: “I am very pleased to see the plans for Brune Medical Centre coming to fruition. This has been achieved through a partnership between the GP practice, the Hampshire PCT and our development partners, Solent Community Solutions, working closely together and I look forward to the opening of the new Primary Care Centre next autumn.”

Solent Community Solutions is a joint venture between Community Solutions for Primary Care, Hampshire Primary Care Trust and Partnerships for Health. In 2006 the partnership completed a similar sized scheme in Gosport in addition to the Oak Park Children’s Centre in Havant.
