Exterior acoustic solution

Acoustic systems provider CMS Acoustic Solutions has launched Regupol Keraflex, a frost resistant exterior acoustic tiling system designed to attenuate impact sound from general footfall. Regupol Keraflex is available as two systems, Regupol Keraflex XT and Regupol Keraflex FB.

The rubber crumb base panel foundation system, which offers sound insulation of up to 23dB, can be simply laid on top of the sealed exterior to create an elastic foundation, CMS claims.

To form the XT system, marble granules are mixed with binder and worked into the webs of the rubber base panels. For Regupol Keraflex FB, stonewear tiles are adhered between the rubber base panel recesses. These two aesthetically pleasing solutions are final floor finishes. With a low structural height of only 25mm and 31mm respectively, Regupol Keraflex XT and FB can be installed in a variety of settings. Both solutions are suitable for refurbishment or new build construction types, and can be used in any area an exterior tiling system is required, such as balconies, patios and roof gardens.

Highly durable, Regupol Keraflex retains its performance for a long life span. The system is easy to maintain as its 3D structure is porous and provides complete water drainage to prevent puddles, mould and frost forming. This also simplifies the cleaning process as no special treatment agents are required.

Regupol Keraflex XT is available in 16 different marble granules or corresponding mixtures. For Regupol Keraflex FB, a choice of up to six different coloured ceramic tiles is offered. Selection between the systems depends on whether a marble granulate or ceramic appearance is preferred.
