Pneumatech Medical Gas Solutions (PMGS) says its new Automatic Changeover Medical Manifold – the PureGAS – incorporates a ‘state-of-theart’ control system, and offers reduced installation costs, and ‘outstanding performance, superior quality, and lower total ownership costs’.
“Our customers have been looking for a more balanced and valued manifold solution, where additional precision is taken to minimise patient risk,” explained product manager, Alexander Losev. “Utilising the latest technology, we developed a reliable, safe manifold offering a flow of up to 1,750 l/min, that simultaneously reduces installation and total ownership costs.
“Patient safety was the basis for the new manifold’s development. Two separate stage pressure regulators ensure stable gas pressure over the entire flow range, while the use of halogen-free polymers in the regulators ensures that no toxic gases reach the patient should overheating occur. Adiabatic and self-ignition tests certify the new manifold’s safety.”
An LED service indicator reminds users when service is due, and a new microcontroller affords control over medical gas consumption. A graphic colour graphic display shows the average gas flow in a hospital, while an advanced control system and digital pressure sensors ‘can reduce changeover pressure significantly’. PMGS says this can help users save up to 270,000 litres of gas annually.
