Darent Valley Hospital, part of the Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, has installed a new Siemens AXIOM Artis dTA and AXIOM Artis dFC, purchased with funds provided by the Strategic Health Authority and Trust, to replace outdated equipment.
A comprehensive control system makes it simpler to use, while the new equipment also helps reduce dose reduction. It includes easy patient access with full anatomical coverage and high-speed 3D software.
AXIOM Artis dTC is an interventional imaging solution with flat detector technology. The all-digital solution is designed to optimise workflow in the cardiology department, from preparation to diagnosis and therapy, for both diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Diane Elphinstone, radiology manager at Darent Valley Hospital, said: “It is imperative that we have up-to-date equipment that provides patients with the best technology available and therefore offer them the best care there is. The Artis dFC and Artis dTA have improved patient care quality and we are now able to offer the cardiac service locally, which we were unable to do previously.”
