New from Multitone Electronics is the EkoTek personal security system. The wireless device uses the latest available technology to improve emergency response through the accurate location of alarm signals. Multitone says that the new system offers cost savings of up to 40% compared to traditional wired systems.
Requests for assistance are quickly transmitted to a central control hub detailing user name, exact location and alarm type. Alerts are automatically sent to messagers carried by other workers and audio and visual signals are sent to the employee sounding an alarm to assure them that assistance has been summoned.
The system uses low power wireless repeaters that provide beacon signals for accurate locations of alarm signals.
