Offsite Solutions, a leading UK bathroom pod manufacturer, has announced a £5 million investment programme to expand its Somerset production facilities.
The first phase – a new 45,000 ft2 production facility at Commerce Way, Highbridge – has now been completed – doubling capacity for the company’s steel-framed bathroom pods. This unit has been designed to meet Offsite Solutions’ ‘strong sustainability commitments’; it has reduced transport between sites, and incorporates roof-mounted solar panels.
Planning approval has now been granted for a £1 m facility to increase storage space at the Highbridge site – to accommodate up to 3,500 completed bathroom pods before they are delivered to building sites countrywide.
The expansion’s final phase will see built a new, purpose-designed factory, with the £3 million investment bringing all production operations onto a single site. It will increase capacity to over 150,000 ft2, allowing the manufacture of up to 12,500 factory-built bathrooms annually to meetgrowing demand.
