Hilditch, the medical equipment auction specialist, has become a company affiliate of IHEEM.
Hilditch holds an auction once a month and sells redundant equipment for 180 NHS Trusts and private hospitals. Most of the equipment is bought by clients from developing countries.
In addition to its monthly sale, Hilditch also holds online auctions through its website www.hilditchauctions.co.uk Recently, the company has been the principal contractor involved in clearing the Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust’s two sites, following its new PFI hospital development.
Hilditch is aware of problems many hospitals and clinics encounter in the developing world trying to maintain medical equipment and it has launched The Amalthea Trust – a charity dedicated to providing medical engineering expertise and assistance in developing countries.
