How many patient handsets do you have to replace annually, how long do you have to wait for your supplier to provide replacements, and how many hours do those beds lay empty – perpetually alarming – as a result?
According to Ascom, with its new nurse call system, Telligence 5, these challenges are ‘a thing of the past’. It said: “One of the many innovations of Telligence 5 is the patented patient handset smart connector. The cable connector is magnetic, which means that when a bed is moved, or you have a less than delicate patient, the cable simply pulls out of its socket. In most cases it won’t be damaged, and can simply be plugged straight back in. If not, you can hold a stock and replace them immediately. This means you can maintain a calmer and quieter healing environment, and keep the bed in use when demand is so high.
“This is just one of the challenges we’ve addressed by listening to feedback from estates directors and hospital designers – to make their lives easier, and save them time and money.”
