In the past three months David Bailey Furniture Systems has won four contracts in Wales – ‘fairly new territory’ for it – for fitted healthcare furniture valued at almost £160,000.
As part of a £6.5m upgrade to maternity and neonatal services at Prince Charles Hospital in Mid Glamorgan, it will fit base and wall storage units, worktops, and drugs cupboards, in 60 different rooms.
A further 84 rooms Morriston Hospital, Swansea will be fitted out with similar storage units from David Bailey’s healthcare furniture range this spring, following a recent £5.8 m refurbishment of the hospital’s renal unit.
Swansea’s Mayhill Integrated Primary Care and Family Centre is expected, when it opens shortly, to be Wales’s first complex to house a family centre, GPs’ surgery, and a pharmacy in the same building. Here David Bailey will supply fitted healthcare furniture for six consulting rooms, two treatment rooms, the phlebotomy room, and the back office area.
Brnmwar Medical Centre in Gwent, a two-storey health centre currently under construction by WRW Construction on land opposite Blaen-y-Cwm Primary School, will house a dental suite, pharmacy, and general medical services. David Bailey will here fit out 56 rooms, including clinical rooms, consulting rooms, and office areas.
