MTX has successfully handed over a modular endoscopy decontamination facility to Colchester General Hospital.
The new facility, which was handed over to the Trust in just 17 weeks from date of order to MTX completion, provides a much-needed upgrade to the hospital’s current arrangement. MTX designed and produced a bespoke, singlestorey external modular building, which consists of totally segregated clean and dirty corridors, gown rooms, cleaners’ rooms, and decontamination rooms. The decontamination rooms are equipped with five Cantel Medical RapidAER automated endoscope reprocessors served by Lubron reverse osmosis plant. An air-handling unit for ventilation systems was installed, while the Decontamination Unit will also benefit from the latest technology LED lighting.
