Nurse call contract awarded

Static Systems Group has been awarded the contract for the supply and installation of a nurse call system at the Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands. The project, designed by Nightingale Associates, involves the provision of the company’s Codemlon-Call nurse call system and System 220 bedhead services trunking into the new treatment centre.

A ProCure21 project, the centre is part of the Government’s initiative to build a series of Treatment Centres throughout the UK. During the early design and installation stages of the communications package a key feature was the close working relationship between the project teams: M&E contractor, Haden Young; consultant, Couch, Perry and Wilkes; and Static Systems. As a specialist in the field of healthcare communications, Static Systems has been continuously engaged in the larger PFI hospital projects since their introduction in the late 1990s. Although aimed at a different contract size the experience gained through PFI system design and project management is proving invaluable in the approach required to fulfil ProCure21 requirements.
