Trend Control Systems has been named Overall Winner of the prestigious 2007 Manufacturing Excellence (MX) Awards. The building management systems manufacturer showed “an outstanding record in product innovation, process innovation, customer focus and business development,” according to the judges’ summary.
The MX Awards are the premier awards for the UK manufacturing industry, presented by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and sponsored by the DTI’s Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS). In addition to being named overall winner, Trend won the Warwick Manufacturing Group Award for Logistics and Resource Efficiency.
The Overall Winner award was presented to Trend by Margaret Hodge MP, in her then position as Minister of State for Industry & the Regions at the Department for Trade & Industry.
Margaret Hodge said: “The future of manufacturing depends on industry raising investment, applying science and innovation, best practice and skills to create even better British products that comply with world demand in today’s markets. The MX Awards show it can be done.”
