A deal between lighting specialist, Light Years Ahead, and Swedish company, Aura Light AB, means a range of facilities, including hospitals, will be able to reduce the cost of maintaining light fittings by a factor of four.
The Rotalux fitting is designed to meet the exacting requirements of hospitals and other public buildings. It is highly robust, can be rotated through and up to 350 degrees and has a sealed lens to keep out dirt and to ease cleaning. A unique plug-in system allows off-site maintenance, eliminating the need to perform such operations in locations where cleanliness is a priority.
Announcing the deal, Mike Hudson, managing director of Light Years Ahead, said: “Our Rotalux luminaires are used in some of the most demanding locations – places where factors like reliability and ease of cleaning are as important as the quality of light delivered. We’re proud to offer our customers products that set the standard in these areas.”
