Details of a conference titled Reducing the NHS Carbon Footprint have been announced.
As the UK’s largest employer and a key generator of carbon emissions through waste, transport and buildings, the NHS must act now to lead by example in the “green revolution”.
IHEEM president Phil Nedin will be speaking at this highly topical conference, focusing on harnessing opportunities to design sustainable NHS buildings.
Members of IHEEM are being encouraged to join him on Wednesday 3 October as he reviews the latest carbon efficient systems and materials and looks at assuring flexibility in building design.
James Rees, IHEEM’s recruitment and membership manager, will also be present at the event – being staged at Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London to recruit new members.
