Visitors to the Toray Textiles stand will be able to see the company’s new See-it-Safe range of fabrics. The fabrics feature silver threads within the weave which kill MRSA and other bacteria on contact.
See-it-Safe fabric uses ionisation of silver atoms to eradicate 99.9% of over 800 microorganisms in less than one hour, in accordance with the JIS 1912 dynamic shake test. Odour producing bacteria are also inhibited, while the build up of static electricity in bedding is entirely eliminated, enhancing patient comfort.
Available in a wide range of weaves, weights and silver content, closely matched to end use, See-It- Safe fabrics can be colour coordinated to suit individual wards, hospitals, care homes, surgeries and health centres. Whichever style or colour is specified, the highly visible nature of the silver threads is not compromised in any way.
