One of the largest key worker and affordable/shared equity housing schemes in the UK, the 557 unit St Georges Healthcare NHS Trust PPP scheme in Tooting, has officially reached financial close.
Located one mile from St Georges Hospital, it forms part of the Government’s “Keys to the Capital” initiative.
Contracts for the major PPP project were signed between the Trust and a consortium led by Thames Valley Housing Association Limited, which includes Bellway Homes Limited, and Inspace Partnerships Regeneration.
The project is one of the first to utilise the new Competitive Dialogue Process, a relatively new procurement procedure for public sector contracts.
This process enabled the Trust to achieve contract closure in a far quicker way than under the former route.
