These telephones are designed for general public use, including users with impaired sight, hearing, speech or physical disabilities, providing a centralised access point for help or information. They can be located in general public areas and service provider premises such as hospitals. They are also ideally suited as a telephone entry panel for locked, gated or otherwise inaccessible premises, so helping to ensure compliance with the latest DDA legislation. This can include public buildings.

The fully electronic Help-Point telephone can be supplied for flush or surface mounting and is both rugged and weather resistant to IP65, depending upon installation. Tactile features include raised 32 mm diameter push buttons which are palm operable. The HELP legend is also raised, with Braille, and located on a contrasting colour plate. Hands-free loud speaking communication is provided with induction loop as standard for the hearing impaired. Audio-visual indication of incoming calls are also indicated with a warble tone and flashing LED.
