Efficient burners make a comeback

Proven reliability and efficiency, ultra low emissions, low noise and high quality digital burner controls are the reasons Dunphy Burners have again been selected by the Surrey & Sussex NHS Trust for use at the East Surrey Hospital. 25 years after the company first installed burners at the hospital, it has again beaten off competition to supply new burners for two of the steam boilers.

TD 37 dual fuel burners are being supplied built to Dunphy’s patented axial air flow design which delivers uniform air distribution over the full turndown in the burners. This means that the optimum burn ration of one part fuel to 10 parts air is consistently achieved – thus minimising fuel costs. These efficiencies are achieved even during low fire operation, which is critical to the hospitals whose operating loads fluctuate significantly across 24/7, 365 day annual operating cycles. The burners provide full sequencing across the two boilers and each burner is additionally fitted with Dunphy’s Ratiotronic 3000 burner control system with fuel and air trims and operations sequencing for precise, real time control of the whole combustion process.
